I first met Gloria in a small church in Southern California. I was on tour with my college choir. She bounced in radiating energy and good will. And took the time to talk to some of us personally. [Read more…] about Gloria Roe

Watch Out
We’re redoing the place, so please be patient. It will look better. I promise.
Stephen VanDruff
Stephen notes that growing up in a Christian family, going to Christian schools, and being in church 3 times a week, you can get “Christianed out.” But finding a personal relationship with Jesus…priceless.

Kent Redfearn
This is the story of the boy who grew up in really-rural Alaska. He still lives in Alaska but now heads a multicultural church ministry that spans several continents. And you don’t have to have experienced ice fog to enjoy his angel story.

Mildred Tangen
This is my Mom. She would have turned 100 today.
She was a small woman with sharp bird-like eyes. She would sat on the edge of a chair or sofa so her legs could touch the ground. Her back was always very straight but she’d point at you with twisted arthritic fingers.
She had a habit of “adopting” people into her family. She was a great listener.
She was always soft-spoken. She was so soft-spoken that when she took Dad to the ER (he was having a heart attack), the doctors and nurses ignored her for several minutes. But she was always persistent. And the hardest working person I know.
I’ll let her tell her story (parts are missing; I’m hunting for a better copy):
Donnie Sumner
This is the story of a preacher’s kid who sang Gospel music but didn’t know God loved him. Donny says it’s good to sing the songs but it’s better to live the life. He hung out with Elvis and it nearly killed him.
Robert Kalatschan
His goal was to be the biggest drug dealer in his high school. And he succeeded. Then he got “galvation,” stopped doing heroin, included a track with every kilo of cocaine he sold, and tithed on his drug dealing. Then God changed his life. And changed it again on 9/11/01.
